If you know anyone with access to a chemistry lab (college chem student), finding out is a substance is what it is supposed to be is fairly trivial. Just throw it in a mass spec and make sure the peaks are in the right places. If you don't know any college kids, I'd say you're SOL.

Checking the dosing is a little harder and beyond your average undergrad chemistry student.
