Tanning to prevent acne question.

When you use a tanning bed to prevent acne, do you use the tanning accelerator lotions or just shower then jump in the bed? I would think if your trying to dry your skin out, to prevent acne, you wouldn't want to put on oily lotions before tanning but I'm not sure.

you are trying to dry out your skin slightly, so why use something that acts as a moisturizer?
