    Too many shakes?

-Can you possibly have too many shakes in one day? I mean if you're trying to get over 250g of protein and upwards of 400g doesn't it seem essential. I am having three at times, but of different types, is that alright?

-Also whats the general consensus on raw eggs?

-When someone tells you to eat 5 egg whites they mean 5 boiled eggs without the yolk?

    Thanks

you can get to 275-300 or more protein a day w/out ANY shakes, I try to keep mine to PWO only, but once in a while I'll use some whey to make a semi meal if 100% unavoidable... but your body has a harder time digesting them then regular food, IMO 3 a day is not good... buy a lot of chicken breast, in bulk quantities it helps. and egg whites is pretty self explanitory, although I eat my eggs whole, if your so inclined to go the egg white route, yes u take the yolk out but you don't have to boil them, u can cook it like normal just take the yolk out first.

I do not believe shakes to be a bad thing when used a supplement and not a replacement for real food. I drink upwards of 3 whey shakes a day sometimes. But always after a solid meal containing real lean protein. Easy way to add 120cal to a meal.

Yea I mean I guess I don't understand the logistics behind how it disperses through the body but its always comforting knowing you can throw back some extra calories and protein with a few gulps. Is there anything you can add to make a shake more efficient?

On a side note, I know I haven't been here long but I've wondered whether the avatars with hot chicks could ever possibly be the actual member, no?

more efficent? in what regards you can add BCAA, creatine, waxy maize startch (phate), lol in some scnearios a fruit? depends on your goals and when your drinking the shake

Drinking liquid egg whites is a fast, easy way to get 50 grams of fast acting protein. If when you say processed, you mean pasteurized, then ok, I'll stick with them.

On a side note, I tried pasteurizing my own eggs for cost-effectiveness. It worked, but lets just say I'm sticking with my processed crap egg whites in a box.

    taken from healthcastle.com

    proccesed eggs

"such as liquid egg whites or dried egg whites are shell eggs broken by special machines then pasturized before being further processed and packaged in liquid, frozen, or dried form. processed egg products may also contain flavor or color
    additives."

have fun with those fast acting convienant PROCESSED egg whites in a box, once again I'll stick to the real deal

I don't doubt that there are some liquid egg whites that are processed. The ones I eat, and any I can buy at my local grocery store are pasteurised and tested for salmonella & listeria. No preservatives, No chemicals, No colourings or No gums. 100% nothing added or taken away.

I am not trying to start anything with you, only letting other members know that there are liquid egg whites that are just that: 100% egg whites. You can continue eating whatever you want. If you can find a scientific article that backs up your claims I'm all ears tho bro.

not tryin 2 start anything either, it's all good... see I eat organic stuff I'm a big believer in it, so I eat free range eggs (NOT cage free, there's a difference) I sometimes eat them raw, which is a great way to not denature and alter the proteins and vitamins you can get from not heating them. yes, pasteurization kills bacteria, but these bacteria can easily be fought off by your body if you eat properly and let your body know it has to build up immunities to these bacteria.
some people will have more of a bad reaction to micro organisms then others, but IMO it's not a good reason to
essentially kill your food (well at least most of the nutrients u SHOULD b getting with the food) think of it
this way, the more nutrients you take in, the healthier you'll be so your body will have a much easier time recovering from intense workouts, thus, more gains. here's a good article on pasteurization, it's mostly about raw milk vs pasteurized, but it applies to eggs just the same
