the amount of calories is not what is important..

to obtain a goal of weight loss without muscle loss, or to become stronger one must manipulate the body's ability to store or use fat..

thus counting the calories becomes irrelevant, and the manipulation of macro's consumed become more important to obtain a persons goals..

im a bit confused on what your saying? are you disregarding calories as having anything to do with losing fat? it definately has to do with both macros and counting calories. subtracting 500 calories daily from your current maintenenace level should shed 1lb per week (this is what is healthy and recommended). are you saying that a fat person should now worry about their calorie content but just macro? they both equally need to be taken into consideration based upon their goals

he is saying macro percentage manipulation is more important than just making sure you hit your calorie mark for the day, which is completely true
