Jesus 10 years ago we were all paranoid they were fakes then.. I remember when we got some that looked suspect, my mate looked at them and said he wouldn't inject his sausages with them.
Ahh the good old days in the mid 90s.. my mate got boxes (of bottles) signed off straight from the vet... but then they changed the laws.. same happened with ketamine around 2005. Things became a lot more difficult then.
I just suggest, go to university and make life long friends with someone studying to be a vet... then you are set! I remember when I used to work in a gym in brisy and a chic walked in with her vet tag on.. and I was like.. "oh hi! how you doing..?" Thought I might be able to make a new friend! haha.
