Ok, lets take into account it IS because of your diet. Did you recently just start eating 6 meals a day or have you been doing this consistently? Because even if you bump your calories for a bulk there is no way you should gain 15lbs in one week. Trust me I know.
I started at 134lbs at 6'0, I went to six meals a day bulking when before I would be lucky if I ate two meals a day, the most weight I ever gained in a week I think was 8lbs and take into account my body had never lifted before and ate like that so I was primed to grow with n00b gains, so unless you were a lanky 174lbs I dont see why you should have gained 15lbs.
