    prep for contest

    Hey guys, could use some advice about the last days before the contest, im abit afraid of playing around to much with sodium etc..so im kinda planning on doing a "mild" setup to push out some subq-water...im thinking bout carb depleating sunday-wednesday...
    Wednesday i start with Dandelion extract 2x1000mg + 1.5 gallon of water ED, Thursday-friday i carbload with zero sodium, on friday 24h before show I'll zero the water, could this work out ?....

    any advices or tip would be great, this is my first show and im from sweden, so again excuse my english

    It looks good in theory. You will have to decide on the amount of carbs to load up on depending on how you look those last 48 hours.

    I do NOT understand why people carb deplete...you have been dieting for many weeks on low carbs you are already DEPLETED!!!! your insulin sensitivity is through the roof and carbs will be utalized well in carb upif all is set up well and not over done, leave your sodium alone, get rid of sodium via diuretics...i change nothing untill friday before the show where i would introduce diuretic and shiat load at night and morning of show...good luck......XXL

    Hmm okej, but im not gonna use any strong Diuretics, im just gonna use Dandelion extract, isnt kinda to late to use it on friday, i thought it took time for herb diuretics to have effect, what would ur setup be with dandelion extract ? and how do u get rid of sodium via diuretics ?

    With over the counter diuretics you do need time 72 hours before the show is the start time, however once you start dropping sodium through the diuretic use (that's what diuretics do is increase the rate at which your body excreets the sodium and the water follows) it is difficult to carb up/load properly, no sodium no carb absorbtion, that;s why i preffer dyazide that can be used starting firday and shiatload over carb load for fast carb up...XXL

    Can't get any dyazide im afraid do u think I should still Shiatload even with Dandelion extract as my diuretic ? also im on Clen, is it fine to keep Clen all the way to the day of show or shall I quit it earlier ?

    I would quite clen as if i remember correctly it lowers insulin sensitivity and will make it deifficult to carb load...dendilion root will be alright 3 days out and yes shiatload would still be preffered method form me...i would do a small load on Friday night 4-6 hours after cutting water and then again on Saturday morning...i would go all the wya into friday load with my regular food intake as per your show diet do not deviate just rekay on cutting water and shiatload...XXL

    great I will try that out , the show is at 11am on saturday, when on friday is a good time to cut the water u think ? sorry for all the questions, this is my first show and I want it to be good - thanks for ur time Mike
