I pooped myself.
i nearly passed out at the gym...apparently my body is still not feeling 100% after being so sick...
I got 25mins of HIIT cardio done, then decided to start my back workout.
6 reps in I started to see stars and got dizzy and needed to vomit.
At least i tried
sounds like Reeds workout
No Reed can actually finish his workouts
Why cardio first? you should do low intensity cardio for longer durations after weights for optimal results.
I see. It's just slightly counter productive, because you're burning all your glycogen stores, especially doing high intensity, before doing weight training which is where you need those to properly train. So essentially by the time you're getting to weight training, you're body will have to use muscle tissue to fuel the workouts, burning muscle to build muscle.
If you do weights first, you use glycogen stores for energy to fuel your workouts, then the low intensity cardio will just burn fat as a fuel source if you keep your heart rate at 120-130
yeah i never thought about it, but you make sense...
perhaps I'll change it all up
During cardio the lowest I can keep my heart rate is like 160
It's worth a shot, it worked for me. Just remember to keep your heart rate pretty low, and do atleast 30 mins. I bet you'll notice pretty wicked results in fat loss and a lot more energy for the weight training part.
i usually do 10 mins of low intensity cardio before my workout to get my blood flowing and warm up...then i do my workout and 30-45 mins of high intensity cardio after workout...what do you think?
Sweet jesus, are you on stimulants? Even if walking is the only way to keep it lower, I recommend it. I used to keep my HR around 170 and thought I would lose a lot of weight but it was when I dropped to 125 average heart rate that I started to see dramatic differences. I barely sweat during cardio, but that is the zone that means your body is using fat for fuel.
the warm up is cool, I just walk to my gym which about a 10 minute walk.
High intensity cardio is bad news after weight training, especially if you're natural, you're going to be burning off lots of the muscle you're trying to put on. 45 mins of low intensity after weights, it's easy, and works 10X better.
Save high intensity cardio for days when you don't weight train, or do it maybe once a week just to mix it up.
If it works for you do it, but just from reading articles and scientifically it makes more sense to do low intensity after. In a perfect work doing cardio and weights at different times during the day will offer the best results....
But the method I listed worked wonders for me, as I am no longer a giant fat ass and I have managed to put on a decent amount of muscle while doing it.
hmm did not know that...thanks chode
i will keep it low after my workout...maybe thats why i've been stuck at lifting the same for a while now?
Wow I cracked 7,000 posts. YAY
