You are an ectomorph, you have a fast metabolism of course. You do need to eat a lot of calories and protein. You pretty much need to eat everything in site and a lot of it. But you need to stick to a solid base diet of quality protein and carbs and you need to eat until you almost feel sick. I know that is hard but you need to be eating way over your maintainence calories to put on muscle. I would like to see you eat this way for at least 3 months while hitting the gym hard. Do you need a trainer? Once you do that you should gain 10-20lbs no problem, if not then we can talk about AAS, GH, etc. Food is the most anabolic substance you can put in your body. Once you put on a good base naturally then AAS is going to be way more effective. This is good advice that everybody is giving you here and it is correct.
