How Ironic the first fighter in UFC to test positive for steroids (2002) tests positive again 7 years later.

I didn't even think the UFC had a testing program.

Fighters in all championship bouts are tested. On nontitle fight cards, the commission randomly tests two to four fighters.

So basically take steroids, give your body enough time to get clear (ie use short ester steroids and onces that get out of the blood quickly in terms of detection time) and your good to go.

    LOL what an easy system.

13 fighters from the 11-bout UFC 100 card, which took place last Saturday and the Mandalay Events Center in Las Vegas, were tested by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for steroids and drugs of abuse and all of the tests were negative according to NSAC executive director Keith Kizer, who confirmed the results to MMAFrenzy.com on Friday.

Not quite that simple. NSAC will randomly test you in the months leading up to a fight. I know Matt Serra was tested almost a month out from his fight with Matt Hughes. (he passed, obviously).

I'm sure there are plenty of fighters who juice, but the athletic commissions aren't just sitting back letting guys get by on the honor system.

Its actually pretty simple...you apply to fight and turn in your paperwork they drug screen you. You turn it in early the drug screen you early thus the second sample so you dont try and cheat the system. Of course thbe longer you wait the more possible you have some problems..

LOL that is your idea of an good system?

Go look at what cyclists (Tour De France), Olympic athletes, and OIC testing procedures are like.

If Marion Jones can juice and no one know until later because of Federal prosecution, then you can bet some UFC fighter can beat the Nevada athletic commission.

Hell I wish I could give you names of people beating procedures, but the smart ones are the ones not yet caught.
