    New guy here checking in.

Hey folks. I joined to gain some knowledge in this area as I'm completely clueless.

Just a little background about myself, I used to lift heavily in my mid to late twenties. Now that I'm in my early to mid 30's I've been finding it much more difficult to get back to the shape that I once was.

On a positive note, I did quite smoking after 15 years of puffing a pack a day. I gained a lot of weight after quitting but I'm working on burning that off and getting back into shape.

I'm in the military (Marine Corps) so I exercise daily but I do find it difficult to build up the motivation to work out heavily in the gym. When I was younger I could think about getting bigger and it would happen. I remember buying weight gainer now I'd kill to lose some weight. It is difficult because in my line of work we are judge and graded by our physical abilities and appearance; and competition is fierce!

Thank you. I won't lie to you, it was the hardest thing that I ever did in my life...well, besides combat. I never really knew how much of a hold nicotine had on me...

The Marine Corps is into stamina. They love folks with long endurance so we run at least 3 times a week, usually no less then 3 miles. I try to run 4 miles a day or bike 14 miles a day (too and from work).

For a perfect score on our Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is
    20 Pull Ups
    100 crunches in 2 minutes
3 mile run in less then 18 minutes

When I quite smoking I gained roughly 40lbs and I've been having difficulty removing it. This is why I've been running and dieting so much. Once I lose enough weight I intend to bulk up and put some serious muscle on.

Good luck! Like I mentioned before, it was one of the hardest things that I ever did in my life.

I just received my T3/Clen Combo. I'm looking to shed 40 lbs before stepping up the game and putting serious muscle on.

Hey man I know exactly where you are coming from I used to do the same thing. Now I'm 31 and don't know what the hell happened to that 10% bf. I do gain muscle a lot faster now that I'm older. I think it has to do having a better diet and kicking the smokes. Good luck. their is lots of knowledge here to help along the way. I would just make it a lifestyle (not a chore) and don't worry about it. That's what works for me.
