Gradually upping carbs till I reach 40/40/20?

Ok so right now I'm consuming around 2,000 Calories/day.

    Fat: 60-70g
    Carb: 90-100g
    Pro: 225-230g

    I'm looking to do/start a 40/40/20 split thou.

    That would equal to about:
    Fat: 45g
    Carb: 200g
    Pro: 200g

Should I start to introduce carbs slowly, let's say 10-15g/day, or is it ok to go from 100g/day to 200g/day?

    Thanks for your input.

I see a lot of meaningless numbers here... so help us out a bit.

    What are your stats?

Why do you want to adjust your ratios to 40:40:20?

    What are your goals?

I've been doing low carb for some time now, and thought that I'd reintroduce them again because in the winter months I'm looking to do some sort of a recomposition diet(changing muscle/fat ratio).

Currently to continue a little bit of cutting and staying lean. Then, as mentioned above, looking to change muscle/fat ratio in order to stay lean year round.

i dont see any reason why you couldnt go from 100grams to 200grams of carbs....i mean when people do carb cycling they go up and down this much..

You're right, however, keep in mind that I'm not looking to drop them again.

I'm planing on keeping them constant at 200g for now.

maybe for piece of mind raise by 50grams...monitor for a week or so...then if you feel like you want/need more......then up by 50grams again.
