    checking my luggage with a tazer in it....

    im going to be going on a plane ride soon.

    i bought myself a hand held 400,000w tazer....

    if i pack it in my luggage, in it's box, without batteries, think it'll be an issue?

    i wont be taking it over the boarder, just within the usa....

    u will have no problems man..and if u do just pay the extra rate and check it in as a firearm..

    it may be looked at as a firearm which u will have to check it in as one...

    buffalo to be exact?

    edit: it's not one of those devices that shoot probes

    it's a small hand held unit with the 2 prongs!

    im going from wichita, to chicago (stop over) to buffalo NY.....

    Hey Nic, here is the article for New York state.

    Article 265.01 Criminal possession of a taser gun weapon in the fourth degree. A person is guilty of criminal possession of a taser weapon: (1) He possesses electronic dart gun, electronic stun gun, taser gun or stun device. SUMMARY: Possession is banned of Tasers / Stunning Devices in New York.

    If caught the fine is $500-$1000 and possibly 3-6 months in federal prison.

    We Have some of the worst laws for Handguns in the USA ! I Used to have to Tazers but not anymore!! Would not want to get caught with one here! If you do you might not make it to your destination

    Yeh but don't the STATE LAWS vary?

    Like in texas those mfkrs could give a rats ass if you walk around with a gun but in jersey they will lock your ass up.

    When your crossing state boundaries your subject to an entire new scope of laws and ordinances. This is all just what my common sense is telling me though I could be wrong.
