    Skipping after weights

I like skipping every night. It's great cardio and very convenient.
My question is, is it ok to skip after I have an intense weight session? Will it prevent my muscles from repairing properly?

    Thanks for the help!

Obviously skipping with a rope! wow some of the guys on this board are really dumb

Boxers skip all day and have the best, most ripped bodies out there. There is not an easier way of doing great cardio. a skipping rope is cheap, you can do it at home, and you don't need a big area

how long after the session? your best skipping straight after weights. no skipping wont prevent your muscles repairing.

also i think skipping is a verry good form of cardio, and recomend it highly. When i was boxing i skipped for about half hour a day, i got in shape pretty quickly

whoa I only asked because the people that posted before me made it sound like skipping like kids...yeah I skip rope as my main cardio because of my little boy, I cant leave the house to run but 2 days a week, so other days I use the rope. Its fun and you get alittle something more then you get when you run

    info on skipping

Exercise to Get Fit and Build Muscles
Skipping workouts are good for strength training and fitness levels. They help to develop several muscles in the lower body region.

    Skipping: Muscle Development
Skipping workouts are useful for bodybuilding and muscle-building, as they strengthen and develop the thigh muscle, particularly the quads muscles: biceps femoris, vastus latoralis and semimembranous; the calf muscles: gastrocnemius, soleus and the tibialis anterior; and the hip flexor muscles.

    Skipping: Fitness Benefits
Skipping routines help to build lean tissue, burn body fat. They also help to raise resting metabolic rate.
