Sounds a little harsh...Federal government has nothing to do with state laws (pretty sure of this). I don't believe the Feds get involved unless its trafficing....or the DA has a real hard-on for you.

Fisrt thing is get a good lawyer and do not depend on a court appointed lawyer or you will be doing time. If it is really not your roids then take a lie detector test and tell the real story and turn your so called friend in, but if it is really your stuff then here is how it goes.

Stay out of trouble for 7 years and please make sure that you have no misdemeanors and in 7 years get a criminal law attorney can have the felony erased. I can’t speak about felony and the military, but be honest. A college cannot kick you out and employers and colleges cannot discriminate on hiring or refuse to accept you, because of a felony, so you just explain it truthfully.

Tell the lawyer that you’re an addict and you need rehab and the judge may make you go to rehab and give you a fine and with no prior convictions you could end up with just probation and no prison time, but like some county time for several months. I know people that got caught with drugs and several Dui’s and got rehab with probation, because they said, I’m a addict or alcoholic and got off with rehab and probation with maybe a fine and no prison time even with prior convictions and this includes small time drug dealers. Just make sure you have a good lawyer and do not depend on a court appointed attorney and wear a suit for court. You might want to stand with your heels touching and toes pointed outward and if the judge is a freemason then he will be leaning on your side even if you really are guilty and the judge will give you a break.

I don’t know if you got caught on the street buying the stuff, but if you bought the stuff from the internet and got caught then the Customs will give you a warning and warn that they will prosecute if you do it again, but cops won’t give you a warning. I know this from getting busted by customs. Don’t worry about future employment, because you might end up with a felony.

I graduated from the top art college in America and they knew about my old felony that I got from a felonious assault, but they knew about the felony and still accepted me when I knew many people that did not get accepted into that college and they had no criminal felony record.

I thought about teaching and decided not to become an art teacher when some of the inner city schools started closing, and teachers pay was being reduced. I could have got a job teaching as an art teacher from kinder garden up to 12th grade and the school system did not care about the felony as long as the felony was not related to a child. I’ve acted in a movie and soon I’m getting animation internship at a major film studio with a felony on my record, because when asked I have to be ohnest and lying about a felony can cause you to get another felony.

Felonies cannot prevent you from being successful except getting a job related to government, like if you get convicted then you can’t be a cop ever, but you can become a lawyer and a judge. If the roids are not yours then plead not guilty and turn your so called friend in and take a lie detector test and don't accept no pleads if you are innocent.

Ryan, I hate it for you and I know that when I tell you not to worry it won't help but don't worry. I spent a good portion of my life getting ****ed up and doing stupid things. Spent some time in the pokey. but now I'm a nurse and have had my life right for 7 years. People make mistakes and everyone gets another chance. Hang in there my friend. the Marines will still take yo and your going to have a long and good life. This is just a bump in the road.

first of all tell your friend to step forward. I am in the forces and when they ask me for criminal record or drug usage I said" If you do a piss test you will probably find marijuana because I smoke some three weeks ago but since then decided to change my life and become a serious a responsible person" I was signing a contract few days later as a officer.
