Thread: 2 leg work outs per week?

    2 leg work outs per week?

    im currently in the full off season for rugby. I have been doing my legs 1 day per week but have finished that cycle and am now thinking about 2 days per week for example:

    day 1
    Back squats
    glute/ham raises
    Front squats
    calfs (seated)


    day 2
    Deads
    glutes (reverse hypers)
    hips (hyperextensions)
    calfs (standing)

    I want to space day 1 and 2 about 3 1/2 days apart but I also play competitive touch on a thursday night.

    any help or suggestions welcome

    I have done this I have done this ... But I took of one of the calves day and the front squats since ur training already twice plus practice I think u would be overtraining... Try to train Monday the first routine and Friday the second to allow for the most time for recuperation

    I train Quads and their own and Hamstrings on there own......About 4 days between them...

    If you are going to do legs 2x per week this is a good route to take.

    Exactly what I do. Working really well so far, I just switched from trying to do both quads and hams in the same day.. I like this way better.

    Quads on monday
    squat
    hack squat
    leg press
    leg ext


    Hams on thursday
    seated ham curl
    prone ham curl
    stiff DL

    I did legs twice a week its good my legs sweeld right up an my strength gains went through the roof

    Quads and hams twice a week. 2 exercises for quads and 2 for hams.

    It worked well

    I'd say give both a shot, why not. See what works for you

    Make sure to follow your diet, hopefully with the approriate macros in line of course for your goals

    Depending on other factors (cycle, own recovery ability) I wouldn't worry so much of overtraining.
