    Making Gains ?

    Hi everyone,

Alright, I'm new to this. I did read many of the posts and found lots of good information, thank you guys for that, but one question remains unanswered.

How much lean body weight can I expect to gain on a 8 - 12 week cycle ?

I know what this sounds like. "Newbie who wants to get big with no effort"

That is not the case with me, so please don't lecture me. I've been working out for 5 years now. I was very happy with how things went and was getting ready to start maintaining rather than bulking.

However I got ill, couldnt do anything for close to a year now. I lost about 20 pounds of weight, yet my body fat went up quite a bit. I think I dont have to explain to anyone here how frustrating that is.

As things look like right now, I'll be able to work out again in a month or two. I'll need a few months to cut down on body fat and then of course I want my gains back.

Thats what brings me to this forum. First of all, let me tell you guys I HATE steroids and any kind of supplements. I'm all about health and being natural, but yes, the fact that I'll have to spend another 5 years to get back where I was lets me get over it.
I say this because I want you to know I'm not willing to cycle for more than 3 months. And I would like this to be a once in a lifetime thing.

And thats what I want to know. Will a 8 - 12 week cycle have any serious impact on my weight ? And will I be able to maintain these gains once I get off (With proper workouts of course)

I'm willing to cycle if I can expect to gain about 15 pounds or more in that period of time. I would also like to keep the dosage as low as possible.

I'm 6.0 feet tall. I currently weight about a 150 pounds. My guess is I got about 15% bodyfat max. 23 years of age. My diet is pretty much flawless.

So I'd simply like to know if my expectations are realistic or not. I really dont have a clue.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Depends on many things, there is no answer to your question. Some people might put on 5lbs others might put on 30lbs doing the same cycle. A lot depends on genetics, age, workout regime and history and of course the most important is diet.

there is no reason it should take you 5 years to get back where you were. muscle memory is largely underrated.

i had a similar situation, where i didnt workout for a year. i lost about 20lbs as well. once i started eating properly, and working out again, i was back to my original weight in about 4 months.

as for the question about how much you should expect to gain off a cycle. its a pointless one. you should gain as much as possible for yourself. so control your diet, get your workouts in, and get proper rest. to ensure you gain as much as possible. you could gain anywhere from 5-50lbs, it just depends what youre willing to put into it, and what your genetics are like.

If you lost weight and gained body fat, you just ate muscle and gained fat. Not possible on a flawless diet.
