At that high amount of omega-3, it suppresses pro inflammatory eicosanoids which suppresses the immune system. 1-2 g marine n3 per day is more than enough. Otherwise eat a plentitude of Salmon which is high in omega-3.
But this is a arguable topic (about Fish oil) many super-dose other take minimal doses. It varies on your diet, caloric-intake and conditions.
Just curious that's it!!
Precisely!
It depends ENTIRELY upon nutrient intake and ratios between other fats.
So I take 50g from fish oil and another 50g from other oils/fats and I am putting myself at risk for something negative? Not a damn chance.
Its amazing to me how people tell me (and I do get this a lot) that I am overdoing the fish oils, I am gonna OD etc etc.
Ya thats makes perfect sense. I am gonna overdose taking 30g of GOOD oils spaced evenly throughout a 24hr period but you people who take in 30g of SHIT FAT from a bigmac in ONE SITTING arent gonna OD at all right?
Ya lets think about that for a minute here. 30g from fish over 24 hours or 30g from a big mac in 15minutes...
Or lets look at another example. People who drink 2 or MORE tablespoons of flax oil per day. So that right there is 30g plus of flax. Now whats the point of taking flax? To convert to EPA and DHA is it not? In fact thats what your body TRIES to do with flax isnt it? And it doesnt do a very good job at converting it either. But ya its a bad idea to take the equivalent in pure EPA and DHA and get the full benefits.
