I just went through a lot myself these last 7 years, I still need to get in shape , am working on it. Do you think he has any depression problems, you may not know it even if he does.

You spoke of him snoring, does he have sleep apnea, thats common in us overweight guys.Does he actually do anything for his self, besides sleeping on the couch does he go fishing, or have a clean healthy way to enjoy his self.

I have went through many of the above situations , and I see a lot of older guys that were good hard workers, that seem to fall apart in their older years, many times they just dont know how to handle free time, they seem to not have anything to look forward too.

It may be hard put you just need a way to get him moving, maybe if he has grand kids they can involve him in outdoor activates. you may have to use your imagination to find things to do.

I know plenty of older men that seem to love fishing by the boat docks in the hot weather, lots of good scenery that time of year...

I think you might know exactly what he's going through. He dose suffer from sleep apnea, and even though he never shows it he seems to be suffer from depression.

Just like you mentioned, he's a hard working guy, and it seems like he has nothing to look forward to. I already tried getting him to eat better and exercise, but he doesn't listen to me, and it hurts his feelings when I tell him to watch what he's eating. Plea

Please PM as soon as you can. It be really good to talk with somebody who might understand what my father's going through.
