    One Spot Injection

Can you inject just into the glutes. Switching sides each time? Or would you have to add another site?

You could do this if you were shooting twice a week. But I would still prefer more sites to make sure they're recovering completely before I shoot again. Sites get sore after awhile if you shoot them often enough.

is that the only reason for choosing more injection sites? to prevent possible soreness? Glute shots never cause soreness at least for me

I shoot ED so I need more sites. But over time, scar tissue can be an issue like lex said. I know guys that have only been hitting glutes (or shoulders, etc.) for years and they start having problems putting the pin in. Glutes are a big muscle. I try to move the injection site around.
