I have not had much time to get out with my new camera so most of these were taken with my old one. I plan to take some more this weekend.

Those look great to me. Lighting is key and very difficult to learn. I usually go through 20 pictures before I find one worth keeping. UV and polarized filters really help bring the colors out and prevent all of that haze you see from the sun. I still do some light photshop editing, but usually just some croping and level adjustments. Just keep shooting! If you love to do it that is all that matters.
