Personally i would draw with the bigger gauge and shoot with a lighter gauge like a 25g. Plus youll have a fresh sharp pin to shoot with vs a 22g pen thats been already poked through 2 vials. JMO.

But if your going with the 22g missile then go slow, pierce the skin the push the needle in. Once your in an inch into the appropriate muscle group (quads, pecs, delts, lats, traps {glutes 1.5"}) then aspirate by pulling back on the plunger of the syringe and looking for blood. If you start drawing blood then pull out and try again. if no blood then inject slowly.

Id suggest warming up the vials too, especially if its cold. For me it lessened the pain vs cold oil the day after.

My only comment from previous experience is 1" is long enough.
otherwise this is the same gauge I used and it worked fine.
Also, outside of but cheek quick stick worked for me, but I had a buddy stick me in the beginning until I became comfortable.
Key is to relax. But you will feel the soreness initially.
I'm interested to know what others will tell you on the guage.
Never had a problem BTW, ever.

See that's interestinglegobricks. While it's been years, I always did quick sticks.
But yes, I was certainly advised about the blood and apirating, good call there!

Yeah ive tried quick sticks and....OUCH! LOL im kind of a sally when it comes to pokin....unless im doing ED injections then its just like whatever As far as guage, its fine. Ive never had a reason to shoot any larger than 25g...unless i ran out of the small pins

^yes, 1.5" is good for glutes.

slow or fast refers to how quickly one puts the actual needle in. that's a personal preference.

    I like slow.

But you should be actually injecting the hormone slowly (as you push down on the plunger).

search for the thread "How to inject." It was started by a guy with the username "Kale"

it tells you everything you need to know

I use a 18 ga. 3/4 to draw, then I use a 22 ga 1 in. to inject. I pierce the skin then insert slow into quad.

i used to use 18g to draw with, but they end up tearing up the rubber stopper on ur vial and sometimes a little bit of rubber will end up floating around in the oil. i always draw with a 20g now, there isnt much difference in the time it takes to draw it out

I like using 2" 18 gauge needles. I reach back about 3' from my butt cheek, then quickly stab. BAMN! Gives me a rush. Bleeds a lot though.

I use 18g to draw, had a problem when drawing that i was dulling the needle on the glass of the amp and made it a little tougher to get the pin in my quads. Plus it took forever to draw through a 23g. Now it's nice and quick, 18g draw, swap out to 23g 1", quick poke to get into the skin then slowly push it in the rest of the way. I'm a sally with the injections as well and find going slow is easier for me but that is just preference. Just don't forget to aspirate!

you use 2" 18g pins? c'mon.....seriously? doubt it bro. why would u want all the scar tissue?

I just use a 23g to draw up then inject it. I don't worry about using one needle to draw up and ond one to inject. Just use alcohol to clean the vial and you should be just fine. I inject slowly, once you pierce the skin which isn't a big deal, you feel nothing as you advance the needle in the muscle.

Dude, back in the day (when I was early 20s) all you could get was 3in 16 or 18g. REAL horse/vet needles.

That is one of the things that kept me away. LOL

Lol...I was kidding. The first injection I ever got was from a 2" 18g needle. It's all the local feed store had in stock, and we were eager to get started. I almost fainted when I uncapped it. Was horrific. But, I think all first timers should have to use one. To really get a sense of what they are doing.

I use a 25 for everything expect lats and chest. lats and chest I have a poor angle on and dont really want to push the syringe for 2 mins. I use a 22 on these so the increased flow combats my poor injection position.

When you aspirate is it to see if you hit a vein?? How bad would it be if you did do this or didnt check...just wondering....

ya, i believe aspirating it is to check if youve entered a vein...remember these are intramuscular shots not intravenous

Yeah I knew that they are intramuscular but I have read that its not recommended to inject into a vein but it has happened accidental of course but no major complications.

Someone posted a link to an article about the effects of injecting into a vein. It was pretty bad. Aspirating takes a split second and doesn't hurt, why risk it?
