The color quality will be best if your room isnt too bright

LCD is slightly cheaper and has a 'sharper' picture and works well in bright rooms and has a better angle perspective

LEDs are just LCDs but they have a different backlight which improves blacks a little bit but isnt worth the extra price tag

Screw all of the gimmicks with 240hz and up they look silly and are unrealistic

120hz is best and yes EVERYTHING is 1080p now

if your screen size is under 40 inch then you can go 720p and not notice a difference
(keep in mind that cable and sat only broadcast in 720p)

So really the ONLY difference your going to see between 720p and 1080p is if you are watching bluray movies as they are the only thing out that is full 1080p

Overall PLASMAS look way better if your watching movies and is the room is not direct sunlight

if you wanna play games or have a bright room then go with LCD

And your an idiot if you dont get the service plan trust me its NEVER cost effective to repair a tv as a cash repair so if your betting on it not breaking your good but if it does then its time to buy a new tv, Or you can spend a couple hundred now and not have to pay anything else to get it fixed or even get it exchanged for a new one it sopmething does go wrong.

you can still get 720p up to 50 inch at substantial savings

and like you said, you'll never know it's 720p unless you're watching a blue ray.

it's only a couple hundred extra to go with LED now if you're in the market for a 55inch flat pannel...so why not?

the service plan is for suckers...400 plus dollars, fvck it...put it in the bank and save it for your next tv. Do the same with everything you buy and when you finally get something that breaks it will be way more money then to replace the thing that's probably already obsolete.
