I will say that, with all the money they put into the movie - I was alittle put off by the fact that they recycled Jurassic Park dinosaur sound bites for all of the animals. Kind of made me feel like they half assed the production.

They say it's the Star Wars of our time. I had the opportunity to see it on opening day and I was like, "ehhh it's probably going to blow." So I never saw it and everyone gave me so much shit for it. I heard a directors cut is coming back to theaters so hopefully I will see it then and redeem myself.

If you like disney world type rides go see it you'll love it. Ever see the cartoon fern gully? Same thing. If you want a movie with an intricate plot... not so much.

If you don't see this movie on imax 3D your losing most of the experience. I know people say "blah, I'd rather watch it at home" but to truly capture what James cameron has done that's how this movie needs to be seen. It took the guy almost 14 years to CREATE this tech so it's def worth a night out of the house to see it.

    BTW
If you missed it the first time Avatar will be rereleased soon. Also they released the DVD this month but in nov a full release of the DVD/blue ray will be out. This will include extra content that the April release doesn't have.

Watched it on bluray at the weekend on a 50" plasma with 7.1 dolby surround sound and it was OK but NOTHING like the experience of seeing it in 3D at the cinema.
