HCG used for weight loss is dosed in very high doses along with the use of a very low 500 cal diet. I would suggest being under the care of a dr. before attempting this.

My gf did the hcg diet and lost a little more than 10 lbs in 20 days. She was on a maintenance calorie diet. She was running 200 iu/day.

Does she realize that in order for it to be effective for weight loss, there is a VERY strict diet that goes along with it? If you cheat on the diet while the HCG is in your system, you will gain weight very quickly. She needs to research it first so that she is fully prepared to stick to it for the required length of time (if she is still interested once she has all of the information). There is injectable HCG from pharmaceutical companies and there are also sublingual drops that can be purchased. There are many doctors that specialize in the HCG diet as well, but it is more expensive usually.
