    Angry Worst gas ever!

ever since i've started my healthy diet I have gas again. I eat about 1.5x to 1.7x my weight in pounds in protein and lots of good carbs too. about 500 calories in excess of my TDEE to gain weight. I have LOTS of gas and it smells horrible!! What the hell is this from? I'm not on aas either if that helps. does creatine give gas or is it my new diet?

    Also dairy intake?
Dont think it's the creatine though.

I'm in the same boat & I have NO dairy - only shake is casein before bed...

I DO have 8oz broccoli with 4 of my meals...

I eat seasoned chicken 2 times a day & fish (tilapia, striped bass, or tuna) 2 times a day, and I feel after I eat these meals are when my assh0le starts to dance.

you guys sure it ain't the carbs? I did some reading on carbs and too much complexed carbs or fiber can cause gas because some people dont have the digestive enzymes needed to break them down fully and they get passed into the large intestine where a reaction happens with the carbs that produces sulfer gases. think taking digestive enzymes will help?

Broccoli is considered to be high in fibre; every 100g of raw broccoli yeilds 7.7g of fibre.

Its a little bit of all that. Try some probiotics/acidophalis you can get them at walmart or most places that sell vities. Some are 1million live culture bacteria or sum shit. I have the smelliest farts ever. That stuff works on digesting the food you eat and makes it eisier for you body to process. Less gas and less smelly.

What about digestive enzymes ( I think that is what they are called)? Do They work? The probiotics are not digestive enzymes are they?

Nope. Probiotics/acidopholis are microscopic orginisms thought to help a host(you) with digestion. And yes the worked for me. The guy I work with made me get sum, his womans a RN and she put me on to it. Lol I haven't taken any in a whyle, they also help keep you regular. They are alive so you have to keep them cool.

I love to eat lots of boiled eggs with tons of broccoli to keep the air fresh. Whey protein is usually the one that makes me have the gas and the whole food is the one that gives the terrible smell. Last week when I went on a trial week for a bodybuilding show my gf made me sleep on the couch.

I was thinking about trying some digestive enzymes but maybe the cultures will be worth looking into.

Its definitely the diet. Happens to me everytime. At first I thought maybe it was the broccoli, but this time I have not even been eating it with my meals and I still have it. The broccoli did make it smell worse tho. I think it is a combination of the proteins and also the starchy carbs. Sweet potatoes seem to give me gas alot! My girlfriend and all my workout partners are the same way. Try taking BEANO with your food. Maybe this will help. With all of the bodybuilders having the same problem, can you imagine how much gas is just floating around with a Convention Center full of bodybuilders on diets. Might be a big bomb just waiting to explode LOL!
