I was in a similiar situation in January 2010. I hit the treadmill and bike hard for two months, 3 days a week. If you can run 6 miles in under an hour then bike 10 miles under 27 minutes at a relitively high resistance, your body fat/fitness level is good enough to start aas. It took a lot of hard work, and working out 4-5 times a week, but I went from 6'4 265 19% bf to 230 15% bf in two months. I'm now on week 11 of a similiar cycle that you proposed, and I'm now 248 11% bf and look like a beast and stronger than when I played football at 310. It's kinda scary. My arms have grown almost 2 inches and the veins in my arms and legs look like mcdonalds straws under my skin... If you put in a lot of hard work in cardio, and drop that bf % you can really change your physical appearance. But YOU need to be at least 15% before you start otherwise you might just gain more fat. Diet and cardio I found was the key to losing the weight. Good luck!
