Man, are you for real? I grew up in Colorado and knew plenty of gay people. I travel a ton and haven't seen a city yet where gay people don't exist. I was in San Francisco last week and just saw normal people, like everywhere. I saw a lot of Asian people, but they're normal too.

You talk about your preacher so I'm presuming you have a religious background? I was raised Southern Baptist and used to study the KJ bible til my eyes were red. So with that said, why all of this hate? What's your preacher got say? It's not his place to judge or condemn. This is kind of why I stepped away from the church ... I found everyday normal Joe's deciding they could make the bible what they wanted it to be for their own good.

So, I know most of America disagreed with homosexuality back in the last century.
But
TODAY
If so many people dislike it
Why is it becoming so socially acceptable and openly discussed?
I mean, in todays world, they come out with a love story based around two men (cowboys in fact) and it becomes a cult classic, and a top seller.
In todays world, It seems every week or month you hear about yet another place in our country that has legalized gay marriage.
In todays world, You are now alowed to be openly gay in the military.
In todays world, we have gay senators.
In todays world, we have entire television programs based around homosexuality.
In todays world, if you watch tv late at night, you see advertisements for gay chat lines.
In todays world, almost every major city has a gay pride fastival anally....I mean anually.
In todays world, you can join an online community where people from every race, religion, country, and political view can all get along on a common ground. And 99% of all those completely different people, with completely different backgrounds and views, will all agree on one thing, "Homosexuality is ok".

You are one of like two or three people total out of everyone here who actually seems to have a problem with DSM, or any reference to homosexuality. The ratio of people accepting of homosexuality to people disapproving of it is the same here as it is in the rest of the world, because the people here make up the views and beliefs of people all over the world.

So don't try to argue that you are right, or your view is more valid than any of ours, because its not. And saying that the entire USA agrees with you, and not us, is even worse.

I am not going to call you names, bash you, or make online threats (those are stupid by the way)
I am just going to ask one thing. Now that you realize that a majority of people here do not have any issue with DSM, or his sexuality, and you can also realize that by you making a fuss about it is only going to cause uproar and problems,

Please, just keep your opinion to yourself.
I do not express my view of accepting homosexuality daily,nor does anyone else,
So there is no need for you to feel pressed to express your view of not accepting it.

In todays world there are three big things people should use caution when discussing, for the sake of everyone involved.
1)Religion
2)Politics
3)Sexual Preference
If someone decides to start a thread where the goal is to openly discuss our views on any of these three things, then whoever decides to take part may do so.
But bringing up, discussing, or arguing about any of those three topics in a random thread for no apparent reason, serves no purpose, and cannot possibly yield a possitive outcome.

I hear you... I hate it too... I am just trying to keep the peace... people are about to get pissed off about nothing. A lot of people are sensitive about the priest/little boy thing.... I mean I am catholic but don't talk about it.... what you said does not offend me because I understand you are taking a stand... Just don't want other jumping in cuz you offended them and it just turns into a bunch of negativity.... you know

Well I learned a valuable lesson today. And that is that you all here are a tight group that takes up for each other for better or worse. and you dont take no sh*t off of new strangers, especially when they are kind of pickin on the weaker ones So I gotta give you all that. Thats a pretty good thing for you guys to be proud about. No more negative things from me.
