Being a Dietitian in the making i have to comment about the 3g of vitamin c.
3000mg = 3g
The RDA for men is 90mg, Vitamin C absorption has been shown to reach a maximum at 200mg per day. Also, Vitamin C enhances iron absorption and helps release iron from body stores, free iron casues cellular damage typical of free-radicals, which could be mild, but overtime quite severe. IF you dose yourself with 3g daily for a sustained amount of time your body understands you're getting more than enough from your diet and stops producing it, so if you suddenly stop taking Vitamin C get ready to have some adverse reactions, and possibly some deficiencies until your body starts re-producing it on its own. Look up some of the Vitamin C deficiencies.. you'll be able to readily find cases where people think 4g of vit C is gonna knock out a cold then they suddenly stop Vitmain C supplementation and develop scurvy, sometimes pinpoint hemorrhages as well
I understand its to lower your cortisol, but 3g is pretty damn severe in my humble opinion. Upper Level is set at 2g, theres almost no reason to go that high, its been shown that most bodies tend to piss out anything over 200-400mg anyway. Dunno who decided 3g was the magic number but i disagree here. Just watch out, dont dose like that for months at a time. I think it would be smarter to dose yourself with 200-400mg each day of the week if you're gonna do that, 3g daily wont be getting into your system, better to take it in small doses so it actually hits your system. Even though its been shown typically, that anything over 200mg is pissed out, i think individuals bodies vary and your, or others Vitamin C absorption could be higher, but not 3g. Large mega doses are quite wasteful.
