I would go back to you normal TRT dosage and focus on dropping some BF. The weight gain could be from the increased Test dosage. Although I don't know your diet in detail, so that could be the culprit as well.

Focus on HIIT cardio vascular training on your "off" days via Wind Sprints, Fartleks, ect ect. Nothing beats Intervals in terms of fat loss along with a proper diet.

My level was low too, at 141.

Just FYI, watch out for gyno symptoms when beginning TRT after having such a low T level. What I'd discovered is that it is likely even on a low dose of Testosterone, it's possible that you could get gyno pretty quickly. Having endured a low T level for some time, and then injecting a boost of it suddenly, it's a shock to the body.

Have you done any cycles before? BF% over 20% could affect how well the testosterone helps you. it's likely you have too high estrogen level.

There are some factors that can be causing you to not feel the effects of the testosterone so far, this can be an elevated estrogen level, an (unlikely) low estrogen level, and too much SHBG binding to your free test rendering it ineffective.

Having a low T level, in the 200 range, and adding a weekly injection of 200mg of Test would make a world of difference to your energy and libido. This dose should put you in the high normal range.

Did you experience a surge of energy and libido for the first few days after injection? If so, did it seem to wear off after the first 5 days or so? Is this the reason why you decided to increase the dose, because you thought the effects were wearing off? did any ED problems seem to come back after the first week? This could be a sign of high estrogen.

What happens, is that after the initial injection, your natural test production begins to shut down. With 2 weeks, you'll likely notice testes shrinkage too. This will make you feel that the dose isn't strong enough. The good thing about Testosterone cypionate is that it builds up in the system over two weeks, as it has a half life of 7/8 days. Meaning, a 200mg shot on monday of week one, will still have 100mg in the system the following monday. Then you add the next 200mg injection. This combines to 300mg. In the third week, the first injection is out of the system, so you stabilise after week two at 300mg.

You are taking a high dose. I personally wouldn't increase it anymore, and I would lower it to 200mg per week, if you just want to stay as you are, or keep it at 400mg per week if you wish to bodybuild.

It could be prudent to try to lower/control your estrogen, by taking Tamoxifen, while you lower bodyfat. This could free up more testosterone. If you start to get sensitive nipples, and believe me it can get painful, I would start taking letrozole immediately, then continue with Tamoxifen afterwards.

Another thing could be your diet. you won't grow if you aren't eating right, and if you are not drinking enough water, and eating enough you will continue to feel tired, and lethargic as you did with the low T level.

Your putting on weight because the testosterone is adding bone density. The low t likely made you lose bone mass. Plus, the Testosterone is filling out your muscles again, so they're holding more fluids. The fact that you haven't put on that much weight leads me to believe you aren't eating enough protein.
