in the 80's it was popular to pyramid into and taper out of a cycle. the reason? to slowly ramp up the dosage, then (it was thought) that by tapering out of the dosage the natural levels would begin to rise quicker and you would recover faster. sounds good right? not so fast, the average adult male produces the equivalent of approximately 7mg/day of testosterone, 49mg/week. if the body senses anything above that, it sees no need to produce testosterone. so let's assume the cycle was 500mg/week, and following the theory, you reduce to 400 for a week, then 300, then 200, then 100 for a week, thinking this will allow natural production to start quicker. well at 100mg/week, even subtracting for the ester weight, you are still in excess of what you product naturally, so you are not producing testosterone anyway.
