Did it help you initially? Does it help you now? For how long?

I might be getting off topic, but I only ask because Benzos generally quit working as an anti-anxiety agent fairly quickly, and then users begin to need to take it just to feel what they call normal.

I was just recently put on it. I just feel tired all the damn time like someone set me on slow motion. Not liking it but I have to be medicated to salvage my mariage. It doesn't seem to be working yet but the doc said it will take a few weeks.

    Thumbs down

If you've just started treatment for bipolar disorder, taking AAS would be a horrible idea.

Nailed it. Especially if you are working through issues with your spouse.

Lexapro is an antidepressant. Compazine is used for anti-anxiety, as an anti-psychotic, and also to treat severe nausea. Lithium is typically used to level you out if you are bi-polar. That's quite the cocktail of prescription meds. I don't think the solution to your problem is to add another compound like a steroid into the mix. Additional hormones in your body could easily skew your balance and make your prescriptions not perform as intended.

Let us also not forget that though the steroids were blamed for Taylor Hooten's suicide; he was also taking Lexapro at the same time. One of the side effects of steroids is not suicidal tendencies, but it is a possible side effect for any antidepressant. Did the combination make the side effect of the Lexapro manifest? Can't say for sure. Would I risk it? Hell no.

Get your issues sorted, see if getting off some of those meds over the long term is possible, and then return to considering steroids. Being big and strong is great, but if you don't have your health, both mental and physical, everything else is a waste.

Like I said it will be late October before I start. I am also very open to the idea of not using aas if that is what is needed. I'm not really working through issues with my spouse. I can see how hard it is for her dealing with a bipolar husband so I decided to get help. She never said anything I just don't think it's fair to her to have to deal with my ass.

Thank you for the honest advice. Juicing probably isn't in the cards for me for a while.
