Hey bud, between my circle of friends and I, in the last few years when we were lazy we always hit up "Fat-burners" before beach season in hopes to shed a few pounds and show off our "surfer-like six-packs". Anyways, I've tried at least 6-7 ones out there, and here's my two cents on em and things I've noticed.
- they definitely suppress your appetite, and obviously by not being as hungry throughout the day you're going to be shedding weight
- they make you dehydrated as heck, which is to be expected. I'm always drinking 3-4L+ of water when I'm taking fat-burners (which isn't necessarily a bad thing if it means you aren't eating junk)
- some of them make me super jittery, some make me crash hard, I'll let you know in a sec which one I liked best
- they definitely give you energy, some more then others, which I really enjoyed, especially to kick start my mornings or even get me outta the house / off the couch to do something after work
To be honest, for me anyway, I benefited the most psychologically from fatburners... What I mean is, as soon as I started taking em, whether it was subconsciously or whatever, I just noticed myself really caring about all the little things in addition to taking the fat-burners. Sure it suppressed my appetite, but when I was hungry, I was motivated to eat a lot better foods, snack on fruit instead of carbs, by the low-fat version of that food, etc. I'm sure most of the weight I did end up losing while on it was because of the other little things I changed as opposed to the fat burner itself, but even for the measly $40-$60 it was decent.
Now that I've come to realize how important cardio / dieting is when losing weight, I almost never touch fat-burners. 20-30 minutes of empty-stomach cardio does WONDERS for shedding lbs. I've taken 3-4 capsules of fat-burners in the last month, and that was strictly for the energy boost it gives me when I've got little to no sleep.
And last but not least, the one I enjoyed most was "Ripped Freak". Energy lasted the longest, didn't crash, and ended up shedding 7-10lbs (no cardio at the time, just dieting).
Anyway, sorry to rambloe on, hope this helps and best of luck to ya!
