i think he is awesome personally.. he is right about AA and all that shit.,. if you want to stop doing drugs, just stop.. he has been in hundreds of great films and his bosses had no right to cancel the show as it was all blown out of proportion.. i understand why the cancelled it after what he said.. but they should never have stopped recording in the first place..

he is probably getting the other 40 million from the past episodes that are airing all around the world.. at least i assume he gets royalties on former episodes... as well as all his other investments and previous movies.. every time one of his movies is on HBO he gets a cut for it.. that is just how it works

I've liked a couple of his movies. He was never an A-list quality actor to me anyway. His best movie was Wall Street. It was definitely a breakout performance. But he never capitalized.
I think he's in extreme denial right now. It's obvious he has a huge problem. It's going to be sad when it all comes to an end. He thinks everyone is laughing with him when in reality, everyone is laughing AT him.
I think the producers had every right to put the show on hiatus. He showed them erratic behaivor, he was unreliable, and his actions outside the show was putting a negative face on the show itself. Showbiz is just like sports. A star player can't continue to embarrass the franchise without doing damage to the team or getting released.

Dave Chappelle walked away from a $50mill contract, not for one season but for 3-5 seasons. And he would have lost creative control.

dave chappelle said himself it was for 2 seasons the 3rd and 4th
the whole 3rd season was done taping when he walked away from the show . so he had one season left to tape
he also had full control they brought in another guy to help dave out during the taping of the 3rd season cause he himself said on tv i feel as tho i was starting to burn out
even tho it was a short run tv show he got paid and each week we tuned in and said holy sh1t hes still on the air cause each week his skits pushed the limits

You know, when I look at all some of these celebs making a fortune, how can they use it on destroying themselves? I mean with the money you got, you can contribute to making the world a better place for at least some people. Its just a shame.
He has all this cash which will amount up to nothing when he dies. At least leave the world knowing you made a good image of yourself and helped some people who have absolutely nothing.

I couldnt agree with you or him more on the AA issue. It works for some. I think of it like church; there are people who NEED to go to church or will become BAD/worse people. Some people need the constant monitoring, reminding, mothering to do the right thing. If it works for you great, if not then hopefully you will find what does or have tigers blood and Adona's DNA like some of us. lol
What I think was/is funny is he shot his ex wife, by accident; no problem, he help a knife to the throat of another ex wife, no problem, he locked up a hooker in a hotel room, no problem, they knew of is coke habbit, no problem, they knew of his drinking problem, no problem, he bads mouths his CBS producers = fired.
