    What happened?

    I took a shot today like I have done many time before, but today I experienced burning and itching afterward. About thirty minutes later I looked in the mirror and my ass cheek was purple but it looked like spider veins, not one big purple spot. Any ideas?

    it's possible when you swabbed with alcohol you drew some of it into the injection site when you pinned?

    Or
    2. Perhaps you punctured a vein/artery

    Most likely the second...happens to me sometimes. Upon removing the needle, was there more blood then usual?
