Women Using Nolvadex as a Fatloss Supplement

I have recently read a small amount of info on women using a small dose of nolvadex(Tamoxifen, 10mg/day)to get rid of stubborn lower bodyfat. From what I have read, this is almost a must for female body builder/fitness competitors in getting really lean in the lower body region. Apparently the nolva reduces the amount of estrogen cells in the lower region thus eliminating some fat. The reason I am asking is because my gf always complains about not being able to get rid of lower bodyfat in her leg and upper thigh regions. I don't want to tell her about this until I further research the topic and find out if or any adverse side effects. I welcome any advice or info on the topic. Thanks

link to the article? or pm it to me...

it would raise test levels some, which would enhance fat loss if the diet and exercise is right.

i'm not a big fan of lowering women's estrogen levels, especially since they aren't being tested for normal levels..

if you think deca dick is bad for a man's libido, try lowering a woman's estrogen levels..

So 10mg would signficantly lower a women's estrogen? If it screws w/ her libido than let me assure you she WON't be taking it! I was once engaged to a chick who took anti-depressants and her libido was in the shitter...sucked for me especially when on cycle!!!

the hcg for fat loss is accompinied with a very cal deficient diet like 500 cals a day.

and yea im @ dat, same name

and i dont think 10mg would do much to estrogen levels since the pill comes in 20mg and its taken multiple times a day for women with cancer

nolva wont supress estrogen, just keeps it binding to the receptors.

I thought I saw your same screen name over there. Yeah I agree 10mg should be very mild on estrogen levels. I guess I could have her try it and see how it goes, although I wish some experienced users would chime in.

Pretty sure the HCG fat loss craze is a scam, as said from some that even run sites that sell it. If you're in a caloric deficit (which is what the HCG fat loss diet entails), of course you'll lose weight. But, I have no first hand experience, nor do I know anyone with a brain that does either.

I would be interested in knowing more about nolva for women because my girl wants the same thing, and she's to the point where she wants to do a small cycle of var, but i explained the sides for women and that kinda turned her off... i am sure she'd jump on this though if it were more understood.

No doubt...what I'm really after is nolva being used for fatloss as I'm not a believe in the "HCG diet".

I hear ya bro...I'm so tired of hearing about my chicks lower body fat problem. Still want to do some more research on nolva before I tell to hop on it.

Maybe I worded that wrong. The science behind nolva being used to help with lower body fat in women is that nolva reduces the amount of estrogen receptors (which are found greatly in fatter areas, such as the legs and upper thighs in women. With the reduction of these rececptors due to nolva inhibiting them fatloss ensues.

It's going to directly shrink her breasts more than anything, since it is made to starve breast tissue of estrogen. This sounds like the last thing a woman would want...

I'd still be worried that it could make them look weird. IDK how they did your lady's procedure, but I'd imagine there's still a good bit of real breast tissue in there that would shrink, making them look more fake.

Good point yeah I don't want her to have Pam Anderson tits. So you really think that using only 10mg of nolva would effect breast tissue that much? I mean I know when a female losses a substantial amount of weight her tits will get smaller (fake or natural) but you think nolva would target the tit area the most? I do see you point that tits are mostly fat so there should be a good amount of estrogen receptors located in this area.

It also has actions at the Endometrium, and has been Linked to cancer there actually. But that is because it has agonist. actions there so If estrogen dependent cancer is possible, it can further aggravate/ stimulate the proliferation of cancer

SERMs are designed to target and block estrogen receptors in breast tissue, mainly (which is why they are good for controlling gyno, but don't make you drop a bunch of water weight when your estrogen is high). So yeah, it will shrink her tits more than anything.

Thanks guys...sounds like there are far better solutions for fat loss in women than nolva!
