Steroids and it's effect on the bodies natural testosteron levels

    What's up y'all

I was wondering if this is true, after steroid cycles your body's testosterone level never comes back to it's before cycle level.. So basically after each cycle the bodies testosterone level diminishes after each time and never comes back fully. Is this a true statement? I've definitely noticed that my sexual desire has been nowhere to be found after last cycle and it's been like 3 months since I finished with pct.. I'm probably going to wait another month or so to see if it comes back before I go see a dr. I'm starting to believe that statement may apply to some people.

I would say this is common but not always the case, im sure Swifto could add something here but i know a few that have bounced back to their original levels, not me however....
Do not ask me for a source check.

It depends on many factors - age, genetics, etc.
In my experience, people that do 1 cycle are typically ok afterwards. People that do several cycles typically do have lowered natural test with each cycle. The majority of people I know that have cycled over a period of years are low enough naturally to qualify for TRT.

I guess my best bet is do go see the dr ASAP to get blood tests done. It's been 3 months since I finished pct and I have no sex drive at all.. I'm not sure if I need more time to recover or I'm just basically screwed..

Definitely see a dr. Mine comes back but it takes about 6 months even with an aggressive pct. I got checked a few months ago before I started the current cycle and was high normal range. This will be my first cycle in two years so I will be getting labs when 90 days after I am done to see where I stand. Its always a good idea to get checked before and after so you have a baseline to compare to.

more than likely its gonna drop,, i do know of a few doctors that use short term test inject to raise levels in hopes of them staying higher than they were before once injections are stopped.

And if my test levels r permanently damaged then I guess I'll have to live off synthetic testosterone

I know that after i finish pct i kind of have a 'rebound' where for a couple months my libido is higher and my general well being is very good before returning back to pre cycle levels. I don't know what my test levels are but i am happy with this. I don't do long cycles or use high doses so maybe this is why.

I dont believe its the case, no.

I think people get confused with the fact our HPTA's age anyhow and endogenous testosterone will decline in time. Now, I'm not saying steroids do not damage the HPTA, they're not exactly good for it and those who dont train are never going to shut endogenous testosterone down unless them become very ill.

This is all very individual. My total testosterone level was 100-120ng/dl above baseline values at 19 years old after my first cycle. I got it to 980ng/dl after a first cycle. I do NOT condone cycling at 19 years of age or younger (wait til 22-25) and I have always bounced back in no time at all, I guess I'm fortunate. Others can ruin their TT after one cycle and it never return to baseline, or near it.

Get BW done proir to starting AAS and go from there.
