It looks like I'm going to have to ask around in other places. You'd think a doctor would want to ask questions, understand, and monitor these things instead of quickly jumping to a "no" answer.
And if you went to a different doctor, there's a good chance that you would receive completely different advice, but that's the health and medicine industry for you.
