Wisdom tooth extraction = murdering gains

Got my wisdom teeth taken out a couple days ago and I can't think of anything that would f*** my routine more. Its shitty because it kills you on two levels- 1) I cant eat enough because I can barely open my mouth, 2) I can't train for almost another week for recovery purposes. I just feel like complete shit right now and its only been a couple days.

Anyone else ever go through this bs?

Dude, you know it's easier to eat if you don't burn your food.

Seriously though, you could put your food in a blender and drink it. It should be easier to go down that way. And eat more eggs and oatmeal. You don't really have to chew that stuff all that much.

As far as working out goes, missing one week isn't the end of the world.

I really just don't get it. I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled and I would just chew with the front teeth. I don't remember missing a meal.

I had 2 pulled out at 1x, didnt think it was a big deal really and dont remember it effecting my eating that much, I just chewed more up front.

I have had a LOT worse things effect my workouts. Try a detached retina where you have to stare at the ground for 3 months, have to sleep face down for 3 months, no lifting anything more than 5 lbs for 3 months. Seriously. Now try a torn rotator cuff. If you want to talk about throwing a monkey wrench in the works, try one right after another. It's been over a year since I could work out properly but I'm still not giving up.

I ate solid food the same day when I was lit up on oxy's.

The I looked to see why my mouth was hurting. It looked like half of the chicken I ate got stuck in the empty bloody holes where my teeth once were. I had to get the food out with long ass tweezers.

Yeah, dry socket would be bad. . . . So it was liquified everything for about 2 days I think, maybe 3.
