I have found myself in a position with a need to compromise on this. My wife has made it clear that she won't go riding with me on a full out sports bike, like the Gixx or Busa. However, she is agreeing to settle in the middle with maybe a sports-touring bike. Doing some looking, if I were to go that route, I really like the look and the reviews of the Kawisaki Concours 14. It's probably a little more passenger friendly, and we could probably do quite a bit more with it to get away if we wanted to. Getting away might mean a day trip to the beach, or Palm Springs, who knows.

Yeah, in reality it's for me, but truthfully it wouldn't be nearly as fun if she won't ride with me once in awhile. I'm definitely wanting a sporty bike, but like I said earlier, I don't need the meanest fastest bike on the planet. The Concours has over 1300cc and appears to carry its own nicely. Any thoughts?

It depends on your personality..your pretty chill so you might like a cruiser better than a crotch rocket balls to the wall all the time.
