I eat a lot of wild game, and other meats. Venison, rabbit, and alligator are all pretty lean meats in which I enjoy.Originally Posted by stocky121

Bison is excellent, very very lean
Funny, exotic to some is a normal freezer full of meat to others.

I've had ground bison as burgers and in chili. Very lean. I prefer the taste of very lean beef though.
Ostrich is very lean and OK. Zebra is also lean but kind of tough, probably similar to horse meat.
I've heard Bear is pretty good but has high fat content.
Horse is supposed to be very good, very lean. When i lived in Korea, I had the pleasure of including dog and cat in my diet. Cat is the leaner of the two, more chewy.
I load up on game this time of year. Venison, moose, elk, black bear, tons of grouse. If I have the extra cash I'll go after rocky mountain big horn, always tasty in a stew!!
I have a freezer full of it. There is a bison farm 10 minutes up the road. We go splits with someone every year. Very good!!!Originally Posted by stocky121
Very lean though. Quarter of beef or pork makes a huge difference
depends where in the world you are living. its all relitive to thatOriginally Posted by ac guy

Exotic meats are good, the very lean cuts are best if you introduce liquid, a little fat or incorperate another not so lean meat into it, like Cape said, its great if you add some pork or some 70/30 ground beef.
Bison and buffalo are great meats. I sure wish I could sport some exotic meats into my diet more often. Another one is ostrich, that shit is amazing!
XNR. Had dog in Korea but not cat. Guinea pig in Peru. Kangaroo in Jax Florida of all places, lol. Camel in Egypt, was gross. May have been spoiled. After all was said and done Emu was/is my favorite. The thing that gets me down is that they all taste like beef, chicken, pork or gator.
