nope, grew up with a golden retriever
when i went to college i got replaced by a yorkie, he is more obedient than my old retriever. still living, just turned 12!
my roommate (female) has a shitzu, very chill dog.
i wish i had a house and didn't travel so much, cuz i want one bad!

They are great loyal dogs but very full of energy and can be high strung. Avoid bloodlines with field trail champions as they tend to be very energetic and some times a bit on the Alpha side. I have had them for house dogs and they love it. Females are much easier going in this breed. AKC is now reckognizing a black and white version I believe. I have only seen 2 but they were beatiful dogs. If your ever in the market give me a shout. I don't raise em anymore but usually have notice of new litters quite a bit

I'm a bit of a traditionalist in that I love my Liver and whites but the blacks are preety and I was told it's actually a true german bloodline trait.
When I was a kid my old female used to pull me all around town on my bike by her leash...not sure I could wear her out lol.
I have fallen in love with yellow labs after my last one but I would def consider another GSP...
