Maybe a cheat day or meal every once in a while not every week. Had to edit that like 3 times my phone is being retarded lol

When I am leaning out I will have 1 cheat meal a week... It's never a desert though, just something like a burger or fried chicken tender... If bulking up its not as important, at least for my body type...

I do a cheat day every week, and I gain no fat from it. I eat everything and anything. The rest of the week is clean eating. The more you have to want for something like food, the easier it is to completely blow your diet.
Here is the deal. If you cannot stay true to your diet than you shouldn't be using aas. A cheat meal is OK but IMHO it should be to give you the opportunity to be full unless your body fat is very low and you are bulking. Once a week i eat a grilled 6 oz chicken breast on an Ezekiel hamburger bun with 2 oz of sweet potato chips. This is my cheat slash carb load meal. Other than that i always stick to a very strict diet were all of my food is measured on a digital scale to my exact macro needs.

Lol. I usually eat not as strict on the weekends. Doesnt seem to effect me any. Im still lowering body fat and gaining lean muscle
I try to keep my cheat meal to once every two weeks. On my cheat days, I tend to eat 2 meals worth of junk food for lunch.
One day a week is fine if your other 6 days are clean...at least if your not in competition mode.

Cheat meals are great, not just because of the good food but if you're dieting they can actually help you quite a bit. Every last contest diet I ever did always had a weekly cheat meal. And by cheat meal I mean a true full blown cheat meal. Normally it would be the last meal of the day on Saturday night.
If you're dieting hard, I mean really hard a weekly cheat meal can help keep your metabolism revved. It really helps to keep you from stagnating. I normally recommend people diet for 2-3wks and then start with the weekly cheat meal. For most competitors, as the show date looms near the cheat meal will eventually disappear but not until they're already fairly lean. By this time their metabolism is going really strong and pulling the meal just ensures they have a higher look. When to pull it varies from one guy to the next. Some can keep it in until a week out. Most need to drop it by 3-4wks out.
If you want to be extremely technical, then get on the bike or something with a good HR monitor and figure out how many calories are getting burned per week and add that many to your cheat meal/day.
Life is about enjoying all aspects of it. Some people are hardcore dieters which is great for them, but these are simple pleasures and some people just diet like that for the sake of saying they do it, which is actually pretty sad. I was doing 90 minutes of cardio 5 days a week... many times 6 and ate whatever I wanted on Saturday (my cheat day) pizza, burgers, cake... everything, and you know what? I lost 1.5 lbs per week doing that. I'm ok with that.
It just depends what your goals are.

when im bulking i basiclly eat whatever i want, i only count my protein when bulking making sure i get 200 gs a day, then as far as carbs and fats i just stuff my little face when i want, being ectomorph helps ; ) and ive always done a lot of cardio but like jim said it all depends what your goals are and where your at, obviously when im cutting it differs a lot and i turn into a health freak apart from the odd sausage and egg mcmuff in the morning!!
I guess i am just a food freak year round! most of the people that know me think my diet is ridiculous.
