Haha how wrong you are. I work in the mines in western australia were the average pay for my crew is 200k a year. Most of the guys are bogans/derros and have dirty beards like santa clause. None of us have uni degrees or trades. Just semi skilled workers.

Ween would have been shortened from 'wee un' I expect. Or little one for you and me. Scotland and ireland still has their own language although its a dying art. The Welsh still learn Welsh at school and most of their road signs are in Welsh and English. So I suspect we can forgive them all for having a few dodgy words.

No to get off subject but in regards to guns did you know that Sweden is in the top 10 in number of legal gun owners in the world and also the lowest crime rate in the world. Only good reason for restricting legal gun ownership is government control of population.

The reason we have trouble speaking the English language is as you said, we bastardized it. We use WAY to much slang and one word has 4 meaning. It's fumy like when I visit the Philippines; most all of them know English but have a hard time understanding most people because of how poorly we use our own language. When I speak to them or anyone not English I speak a little slower and use about 1/2 as many words as I normally would. I keep it simple and I get complements all the time on how GOOD my English is. lol
