I been going to this gym for a solid year now 5x a week, everyone ignored me as I was the usual 145 pound kid who everyone thought didn't take serious, put on 45 pounds naturally and got close with the personal trainers, other members the owner and GM. A few personal trainers got fired/quit due to them taking the money from training people under the table and I asked for a spot from the GM. I joked around and told him "so you're looking for personal trainers now huh?" and he's like yeah dude you want a job? Going in tomorrow to talk to him more about it, think I might take it bros. Feelsgoodman and this is at an Anytime Fitness, really nice gym (2 years old) and pretty busy.
I asked for a job about 6-7 months ago and he told me I need to get a 2-3 year certification and get bigger etc etc
Anyone else a personal trainer here? Is it worth it? I'm currently a server at a mexican restaurant 20 years old and not happy where I'm at. I love working out and helping people but I hope making it a job doesn't effect my feelings on working out.
