My doctor was always concerned that my good cholesterol was too low albeit not that low. Starting about six moths ago when my blood work results came back he stopped commenting on the good cholesterol being too low. He said that they (the research to which he ascribes) indicate that there is no distinction between good and bad cholesterol, so everything that he had been telling me in the years leading up to this were not correct. You may want to check the recent research on this, and if my doctor is correct, bring your doctor the articles to bring him up to speed. I was soooo happy to hear the news. No more of this red wine crap (which I refused to drink because of the high carbohydrate content!).
BTW, test will raise your bad cholesterol levels.
