Agreed. When I was young, I hated it. I'm sure it screwed me up in one way or another. I hated hearing people talking about my mother, guys looking at her, even my friends commenting. Not easy for a boy to process. Nowadays, i'm proud of her - but honestly it was a nightmare growing up.
Had the same issues growing up. My mom is only 14 years older than me and she looks younger because she is so little (5' 105lbs) so all the kids liked to try and hit on her. Which caused lots of trouble as a kid. When I was in my late teens people thought she was my date, even had someone tell a girl I was dating that I was out eating with another chick. LOL
