I say let a kid be a kid to an extent. Maybe vending machines are no good, but my kids aren't allowed to bring anything with peanuts, nuts, eggs, or even chocolate! My kids eat healthy and are not over weight by any stretch of the imagination- however I do enjoy treating them to the odd snack-pack or dunkaroo. Peanut butter is pretty good as well and cost effective when feeding 3 little rugrats. Instead I'm forced to serve them lunches filled with sodium and nitrate riddled deli meats, or other like products. How is that any more healthy?
