My head really never bleed more than if you've had a cut and covered with a bandaid and the blood residue on the bandaid....however it did bleed when they did the donor area....not profusely though....they cut half the area and stitched that then did the other side....didnt feel the cutting AT ALL. The offtime I guess would vary depending on your career but since I work in construction(hard hat) they said 5-7 days before you put something on your head. I didnt go to Bosley mainly because where im at I would have to fly to one of there locations....I went to WMHC (washington medical hair clinics) they are Board certified. They did 2000+ grafts and they were actually able to go back about 1" 1/2 farther than what I was told im the consultation....normally its about 4-5 dollars per graft but the time I had the consultation they something goin on where it was half off so a little over 4k.
4 thousand dollars? Did you say 4 grand? Holy Fvck Face! For slightly over two thousand hair grafts? And here I was seriously thinking of using Bosley as they quoted me 11 grand for 2200 hair grafts! Not only that but they also demand upfront 550 dollars in case they accidentely cut out more than the 2200 grafts because then they charge approximately 3.50 per hair graft over 2200 that they originally quoted up to 100 more hairs. Then if they still accidentely have more hairs on the strip they cut out, it's free for all the rest of the left over hairs to be grafted. Now add to that some kind of a follow up treatment package kit with minoxidil and vitamins and other things. So in addition to the 11 grand I will have to pay upfront the extra 550.00, and then I will have to pay around 350-550 every 6 months to a year for on going treatment meds to help keep what they grafted in the first place. So to hear you now come on here and tell me that you were only charged 4 grand or so for the approximate same amount of hair grafts, well I'm not too pleased with Bosley At The Moment. But I'm not one to jump right into things like this without doing lots of research. Whether it's 4 grand or 11 grand it's still our money and we work hard for it so we want to stretch it for whatever we are buying. At least that's how I feel. But to me yours really sounds like one heck of a bargain. It would be worth it to me to fly up there to get it done. Even if it costs me a grand round trip with hotel expense, I'm still saving 6500 dollars over Bosleys Procedure. Provided they do a quality job and your satisfied with the look after it grows in. So Attention to whomever is interested in getting a transplant. It pays to shop around! Do they have a web site we can check out?
