    Ok I think I got that. Zero carb protein powder, good or bad?

    Well I would answer on the side of good. I want my protein powder just that. Protein. I want to be able to control my macros of that shake, not the shake control my macros.
    However, 6 scoops of protein is ENTIRELY too much! Two shakes a day max. I use 4 scoops a day in two shakes, 1 scoop whey, 1 scoop casein in each of my two shakes (first thing in the morning and post workout) however I add in other things to my shakes to make them more of a "meal" (egg whites, almond milk, macadamia oil, flax seed). You should b getting most of ur macronutrients from actual food. Especially if ur cutting bf. you want food because it will ease hunger, shakes do nothing for hunger. Not to mention all the "extra" things like vitamins and minerals in all the various foods that u don't get from shakes.

    quick hijack for a funny story....

    my buddies sister decided many years ago to go on the SlimFast diet. You know, a shake in the morning, a shake for lunch...?

    Anyways, after a couple of months, she gained ten pounds. So she started bitching that the SlimFast diet sucked, she didn't know why she was gaining all the weight?

    So i sat her down, and talked with her.....

    "Teresa, tell me exactly what you are doing on this diet. There has to be a reason you are gaining weight!"

    So she looks at me sheepishly, and says, well, in the morning, i eat my breakfast, and then have my SlimFast shake, and then in the afternoon I eat my lunch with another SlimFast shake!"

    Uh......

    So i begin to talk to her real slow so she can keep up...

    uh, Teresa?

    Yeah, about that shake. you are supposed to drink the shake INSTEAD of eating a meal, not with your meal!

    She looks at me again, and goes....."oh! I had no idea, so is that why i'm gaining weight?"

    ding! ding! ding! ding!
